This article which I co-authored is published today. It summarises the present state of research into the impact of chess on school achievement. The article finds fault with the recent study in the UK because it relied too much upon public examinations. The article recommends that the chess world needs to have a new carefully designed study so that we can isolate the impact of chess in school.
